I grew up in Lehi, Utah and my best memories as a child were painting with my mom. I enjoyed oil painting so much that I would want to do it all the time. Since we couldn’t paint in the house I would use my grandpa’s small, one-car garage. In the winter I would dress in several layers, but I would still be freezing and shaking in the bitter cold until my parents gifted me a space heater.
Art was always my favorite subject in school, I had the best high school art teacher who helped encourage and guide me. She still stays in contact with me even though its been more than twenty years.
I served a mission in Kirtland, Ohio and married my sweetheart Geoff in the Bountiful, Utah Temple. We have two daughters, Alena and Vivienne, who are both talented artists. I’m a cancer survivor and a lover of animals. We have two dogs and two cats. Our home is a fun and crazy place to be.
I have gone on to attend classes both at UVU and BYU-Idaho. I also teach summer art classes in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
